Annual Inflation in Turkey

The Turkish Statistical Institute has reported a decrease in the annual inflation rate, which stood at 44.38% in December, down from 47.09% in the previous month.

Price Changes Across Categories

Significant annual increases were observed in education and housing prices, which surged by 91.64% and 69.03%, respectively. On the other hand, the transportation and clothing and footwear categories experienced the lowest growth, with prices increasing by 25.88% and 32.32%, respectively.

Monthly Consumer Price Index

On a monthly basis, consumer prices saw a 1.04% rise in December. Notably, furnishings and household equipment experienced a significant increase of 2.78%.
