BigBloc Construction Secures Major Order for Micron's Semiconductor Unit

BigBloc Construction's Subsidiary Bags Significant Contract

Siam Cement BigBloc Construction, a subsidiary and joint venture of BigBloc Construction Ltd, has been awarded a substantial order from Tata Projects to supply materials for Micron's semiconductor unit in Sanand, Gujarat, according to a recent statement.

The work order from Tata Projects Ltd involves the supply and installation of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) panels at Micron India's semiconductor facility in Sanand. Valued at approximately Rs 4.5 crore, the project includes the delivery of 100 mm AAC panels, scheduled to be completed within three months.

The subsidiary will provide and install steel-reinforced AAC panels, which will range from 2 metres to 6 metres in length for the project. This significant order marks a milestone for Siam Cement BigBloc Construction, especially as it comes shortly after the commencement of operations at their Rs 65-crore AAC wall plant in Kheda, Gujarat. This plant boasts an annual capacity of 2.5 lakh cubic metres for large-format AAC wall products.
