German Business Climate Index Falls to 84.7 in December

According to the latest report by the Institute for Economic Research (Ifo), the German business climate experienced a further decline in December. The Business Climate Index dropped to 84.7, down from the revised November value of 85.7. This December reading fell below the expectations of analysts.

In contrast, the Current Assessment Index saw a slight increase, rising from 84.3 in November to 85.1 in December. However, the Expectations Index showed a significant drop, falling from 87.2 in November to 84.4 in December.
