Premium Subscribers and Financial Performance

The platform also reported a 12% rise in premium subscribers, totaling 268 million by the end of the quarter. This marks the highest quarterly net addition since 2020, highlighting Spotify's successful strategies in attracting and retaining users.

Despite a slight miss in revenue estimates, Spotify's total revenue grew by 15% to €4.2 billion. The company saw an improvement in its gross margin to 31.6%, and operating income significantly increased to €509 million from €168 million in the same period last year.
