In a significant move to strengthen its operations in the United States, Japan's Hitachi Energy, Ltd. has announced a $22.5 million investment in Virginia. This initiative, revealed by Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, aims to modernize the company's Bland County facility and establish a new warehouse in Atkins, creating 120 new jobs in the process.

Modernization and Expansion

Of the total investment, $12.5 million will be dedicated to upgrading the Bland facility, which is expected to generate 80 new jobs. These upgrades are designed to increase manufacturing capacity and improve assembly capabilities. Additionally, Hitachi Energy has expanded its footprint in Virginia by acquiring a 75,000-square-foot facility in Smyth County.
