UK Retail Sales Experience Significant Growth in March
The United Kingdom witnessed a remarkable 2.6% increase in retail sales volumes in March 2025 compared to the same month the previous year, according to a recent report by the Office for National Statistics. This growth exceeded the expectations of many analysts.

Monthly and Quarterly Sales Trends
On a monthly basis, sales saw a modest rise of 0.4%. Notably, textile clothing and footwear sales leaped by 3.7%, while non-food stores enjoyed a 2.4% increase. In contrast, food store sales declined by 1.3%.
Over the three months leading up to March 2025, the sales volumes grew by 1.6% compared to the previous quarter and showed a 1.7% increase year-on-year.
