US Natural Gas Storage Sees Significant Weekly Increase, EIA Reports

Weekly Natural Gas Storage Update

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) has reported a notable increase in working gas storage across the United States. In the week ending April 18, inventories rose by 88 billion cubic feet (Bcf), bringing the total to 1,934 Bcf.

Year-over-Year Comparison

Despite this weekly rise, the current stocks are 478 Bcf lower than the same period last year. Additionally, they remain 44 Bcf below the five-year average of 1,978 Bcf. However, total working gas levels are still within the five-year historical range, indicating a stable but cautious outlook for natural gas storage.
