UK's Openness to US Trade Deal

In a significant move to bolster international trade, British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves announced the United Kingdom's readiness to dismantle trade barriers with the United States. Speaking at the Semafor World Economy Summit, Reeves highlighted the mutual benefits of such an agreement.

"There's certainly a deal to be done ... We have a balanced trade between our two countries ... What we hear from the US administration is that they are keen to do a deal with the UK," Reeves stated. She emphasized the importance of trade being both free and fair, pointing out the vast potential for collaboration beyond tariffs in various sectors.
