Year-on-Year Growth Despite Monthly Decline

Despite the monthly downturn, the construction sector showed resilience with a 0.2% increase in the Eurozone and a 0.3% rise in the EU compared to February of the previous year.

Sector-Specific Impacts

The most significant monthly drop was observed in building construction within the Eurozone, which plummeted by 2.2%. Civil engineering and specialized construction activities also saw declines of 1.3% and 0.1%, respectively. Similarly, in the EU, building construction decreased by 1.8%, with civil engineering and specialized construction activities falling by 0.5% and 0.2%.
