Eurozone's Trade Surplus Sees Remarkable Growth

The Eurozone's international trade surplus in goods experienced a dramatic increase to €24 billion in February, a significant rise from January's adjusted figure of €0.8 billion and surpassing the €21.7 billion surplus recorded in February 2024, as reported by Eurostat on Wednesday.

EU's Trade Performance Strengthens

Across the entire European Union, the trade surplus for the month reached €23 billion, showing an improvement from the €21.8 billion noted in the same period the previous year.

Export and Import Dynamics

Exports from the euro area climbed to €248.7 billion in February, marking a 6.2% increase compared to the previous year. Imports into the region also saw a rise, up by 5.7% year-over-year, totaling €224.7 billion.

For the EU as a whole, exports surged to €225.4 billion, a 7% increase on an annual basis, while imports grew by 7.2% to €202.4 billion.
