In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite saw a modest increase of 0.21% by 4:07 am CET, while the Shenzhen Composite experienced a slight drop of 0.38%. Meanwhile, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 remained unchanged, and South Korea's Kospi added 0.18%.
Declines in Hong Kong and Japan
Hong Kong's Hang Seng decreased by 0.86% at 04:08 am CET, and Japan's Nikkei 225 fell by 0.11%. The dollar showed little movement against the yen, trading at ¥140.8180 at 4:09 am CET.
