Revolutionizing Sports Infrastructure in Kerala
The Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) is making waves with its ambitious projects aimed at transforming the sports sector. In Parali, Palakkad, a state-of-the-art facility center has been established, featuring a synthetic track and football turf, setting a new benchmark for local sports infrastructure. Sports Minister V Abdurahiman highlighted how these upgrades at Parali Higher Secondary School are set to inspire the next generation of athletes.

With an investment of Rs. 6.93 crore, KIIFB is ensuring that facilities meet international standards, attracting even foreign players to train in Kerala.
Chemmanthoor Indoor Stadium: A Beacon for Punalur
Another milestone is the newly constructed indoor stadium in Chemmanthoor, built with a Rs. 5.50 crore investment. This 11,700 square feet stadium is equipped for three simultaneous matches, featuring badminton and volleyball courts with "maple wood" flooring suitable for international competitions.
Transforming Pilgrimage Spots in Sabarimala
KIIFB's vision extends beyond sports, with a Rs 146 crore allocation to modernize pilgrimage spots like Sabarimala. The introduction of a ropeway system is set to revolutionize pilgrim transport, offering a more efficient and accessible alternative to the traditional dolly system.
These initiatives underscore KIIFB's commitment to enhancing Kerala's infrastructure, promising a brighter future for sports and pilgrimage in the state.
