
Market Overview
The VN-Index experienced a slight increase, closing 1.87 points higher after a gain of 6.95 points in the previous session. Trading volume on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange reached VND21.567 trillion (US$833.7 million), indicating a vibrant market activity.
Performance Highlights
The VN-30 basket, which includes the 30 largest capped stocks, witnessed gains in 20 tickers. Notably, SHB of Saigon Hanoi Commercial Bank hit the ceiling price, while VPB of VPBank and FPT of FPT Corporation rose by 2.4% and 2.0%, respectively.
However, not all was positive as six blue chips declined, with VIC of Vingroup touching the floor price. VHM of Vinhomes and VJC of Vietjet also saw decreases of 3.2% and 1.7%, respectively.
Foreign Investment Trends
Foreign investors emerged as net buyers, with a total of VND10 billion, primarily focusing on FPT and MWG of Mobile World. This trend underscores the growing interest of foreign investors in Vietnam's market.
Other Indices
The HNX-Index for mid and small caps on the Hanoi Stock Exchange rose by 1.68%, while the UPCoM-Index for the Unlisted Public Companies Market increased by 0.84%, showcasing a broad-based market uplift.
