Significant Price Reductions Across Fuel Types
RON95 has seen a notable decrease, dropping by 1.82% to VND18,850 (US$0.73) per liter. This marks a significant moment for consumers and the market alike.
Other Fuels Follow Suit
Biofuel E5 RON92 wasn't far behind, with a 2.07% reduction to VND18,490. Diesel prices also fell, albeit slightly less, by 1.22% to VND17,030.
Global Influences Behind the Drop
Regulators attribute these changes to a mix of global factors. These include adjustments in U.S. tariffs, OPEC+'s decision to ramp up oil production, and the International Energy Agency's revised oil demand growth forecast for the year.
In the commodities market, RON95 and diesel prices per barrel also saw declines, dropping by 2.2% to $73.7 and 1.2% to $78.5, respectively.
