Sify Infinit Spaces Unveils State-of-the-Art Data Centre
In a significant move towards enhancing digital infrastructure, Sify Infinit Spaces has inaugurated a cutting-edge data centre in Chennai. With a total designed capacity of 130 MW information technology load and an investment of Rs 2,500 crore, this facility marks a milestone in India's tech landscape.

Chief minister MK Stalin inaugurated the facility located at Siruseri, highlighting the government's support for technological advancements. The event was attended by industries minister T R B Rajaa and other dignitaries.
Scaling New Heights in Digital Infrastructure
The facility currently boasts a 26 MW capacity, with plans to expand over the next five years. Designed to handle artificial intelligence workloads, it offers 130 kWh per rack capacity, catering to hyperscalers, enterprise customers, and government needs.
Raju Vegesna, chairman and managing director of Sify Technologies, emphasized the project's broader impact, stating, "We are not only building digital infrastructure but also creating an ecosystem of opportunity." The cumulative investment is expected to cross Rs 13,000 crore, including potential contributions from customers.
Commitment to Sustainability and Employment
Sify's new data centre is a testament to its commitment to renewable energy and employment generation. It aims to power the campus entirely with green energy and create jobs for 10,000 people, including indirect employment opportunities.
This is Sify’s second data centre in Chennai, adding to its 14 campuses across six cities, and is the only facility in India with an on-site open cable landing station.
