Ford Recalls Over 120,000 Vehicles Due to Dangerous Brake Fluid Leak Risks

Ford Issues Major Recall Over Brake Safety Concerns

In a significant move, Ford Motor Company has announced the recall of 123,611 vehicles. This action comes after the discovery of a critical issue that could lead to brake fluid leakage, severely impacting braking performance and increasing the risk of accidents.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) highlighted the problem, stating, "The brake master cylinder may allow brake fluid to leak from the front wheel circuit into the brake booster." This defect poses a serious safety hazard by potentially extending stopping distances and elevating crash risks.

Affected Models

The recall specifically targets certain 2017-2018 models of the F-150, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator. Owners of these vehicles are urged to take immediate action to ensure their safety and that of others on the road.
