Mercedes-Benz to Phase Out Citan and T-Class Models

In a strategic move to streamline its product portfolio, Mercedes-Benz Group AG has announced the discontinuation of its Citan and T-Class models by mid-2026. This decision aligns with the company's 'Growth in Profitable Segments' strategy, as revealed during the Mercedes-Benz Strategy Update in May 2023.

Electric Models Also Affected

Adding to the shift, the electric variants of these models, the eCitan and the EQT, will also cease production starting 2026. This marks a significant pivot for Mercedes-Benz as it focuses its investments and resources on the midsize and large van segments, stepping away from the small van market.
