UK Industrial Production Sees Significant Growth

In a promising sign for the UK economy, industrial production increased by 1.5% in February compared to the previous month, as reported by the Office for National Statistics.
Sector-Wise Performance Highlights
The growth was primarily driven by the manufacturing sector and electricity & gas, which saw increases of 2.2% and 2%, respectively. On the downside, mining and quarrying experienced a decline of 3%.
Long-Term Growth Trends
Over the three months leading up to February 2025, total production rose by 0.7% compared to the previous three-month period. Year-over-year, the figure showed a modest increase of 0.1% compared to February 2024.
