Daimler Truck AG has reported an 8% decrease in global sales for the first quarter of 2025, with 99,812 units sold compared to 109,911 in the same period last year. This downturn reflects broader challenges in the automotive sector, including a 7% drop in battery-electric vehicle sales to 759 units.

Regional Performance Varies

The Mercedes-Benz Trucks unit experienced a significant 18% decline, selling 33,446 units, while Trucks North America saw a 16% drop with 38,992 vehicles sold. In contrast, Trucks Asia reported a 16% increase in sales, delivering 24,772 units, and Daimler Buses enjoyed an 11% rise, with 6,206 vehicles sold.

Following the announcement, Daimler Truck's stock price slightly decreased by 0.37%, settling at €32.73 per share.
