India's Mobile Exports Reach New Heights

In a remarkable achievement, India's mobile phone exports have surpassed Rs 2 lakh crore in fiscal 2024-25, marking a 54% growth from the previous year. Apple's iPhone leads the charge, contributing Rs 1.5 lakh crore to this milestone.

Government's Vision for the Future

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced ambitious plans to double electronics exports in the next five years. With smartphones now ranking among India's top exported goods, the government is rolling out a component scheme with incentives worth Rs 22,919 crore to bolster the electronics manufacturing ecosystem.

A Thriving Manufacturing Ecosystem

Over 400 production units, both small and large, are manufacturing a variety of components, signaling a robust growth in the electronics manufacturing sector. The government's initiative aims to enhance value addition in finished products from the current 20% to double over the next five years.
