Daimler Truck AG Reports Significant Sales Decline in Q1 2025
In a recent announcement, Daimler Truck AG revealed an 8% decrease in global sales for the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in the previous year. The company sold 99,812 units, a notable drop from the 109,911 vehicles delivered in Q1 2024. This downturn also affected the battery-electric vehicle segment, which saw a 7% year-over-year decline, totaling 759 units sold.
Regional Sales Performance Highlights
The Mercedes-Benz Trucks unit experienced a sharp 18% decrease in deliveries, with only 33,446 units sold. Similarly, the Trucks North America unit reported a 16% annual decline, selling 38,992 vehicles. However, not all regions faced downturns; Trucks Asia enjoyed a 16% sales increase, delivering 24,772 units, and Daimler Buses saw an 11% rise in sales, with 6,206 vehicles delivered.
