In what many are dubbing the next Black Monday, Wall Street is poised for a significant downturn. The root cause? Growing anxieties over the tariffs recently imposed by United States President Donald Trump, which are sending shockwaves through global markets.
Futures in Freefall
At 1:50 am ET, the financial landscape looked grim: Nasdaq 100 futures had nosedived by a staggering 4.27%, while Dow Jones futures and S&P 500 futures weren't far behind, plummeting 2.75% (or 1,000 points) and 3.44%, respectively.
Euro Gains Ground
Amid the turmoil, the euro found some strength, gaining 0.50% against the dollar to trade at 1.10209 by 2:02 am ET.
