Nintendo Postpones Switch 2 Pre-Orders in the U.S.

In a surprising move, Nintendo Co., Ltd. has announced a delay in the pre-order date for the highly anticipated Switch 2 console in the United States. The decision, revealed on Friday, is attributed to the recent imposition of reciprocal tariffs and the need to evaluate their impact alongside evolving market conditions.

"Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will not start on April 9, 2025," the company stated in a communication to IGN. Nintendo emphasized that while the pre-order timeline is under review, the official launch date of June 5, 2025, remains unchanged.
