Spain Fights Back: Sanchez Launches a Bold €14B Strategy to Shield Economy from US Tariffs

Spain's Bold Move Against US Tariffs

In a decisive response to the tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez unveiled a comprehensive €14.1 billion plan aimed at safeguarding Spain's economy. "Today, we deploy the Trade Response and Relaunch Plan to counteract the adverse effects of this trade war and protect our economy," Sanchez declared at La Moncloa.

Strategic Financial Allocation

The ambitious initiative earmarks €7.4 billion in new capital, supplemented by €6.7 billion from existing resources. Highlighting the plan's specifics, Sanchez announced, "We are establishing a €200 million fund for industrial investment and allocating €400 million in support for the vehicle industry."

This strategic financial injection underscores Spain's commitment to mitigating the impact of international trade disputes and fostering economic resilience.
