Tesla's First Quarter Deliveries Below Expectations
Tesla Inc. revealed its first-quarter delivery figures for 2025, reporting a total of 336,681 units. This number fell short of what analysts had anticipated, sparking discussions about the electric vehicle giant's current market performance.
Breaking Down the Numbers
Of the total deliveries, the Model 3 and Model Y accounted for the majority, with 323,800 units delivered. The remaining 12,881 units consisted of other models in Tesla's lineup, highlighting the company's continued focus on its more affordable offerings.
Production Insights
Production during the same period totaled 362,615 units. The Model 3/Y segment contributed 345,454 units, while other models made up 17,161 units. Tesla attributed the production shortfall to the transition of Model Y production lines across its factories, which resulted in several weeks of lost production time.
"The ramp-up of the New Model Y is progressing smoothly," Tesla stated, emphasizing the positive outlook despite the temporary setbacks.
