Dow Jones Plummets Over 300 Points as Trump's Tariff Threats Spark Global Trade Fears

Market Turmoil as Dow Jones Dives

Wall Street's premarket session witnessed a significant downturn, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping more than 300 points. This decline comes amidst growing concerns over US President Donald Trump's announcement of impending tariffs that would affect "all countries," potentially igniting a global trade conflict.

Upcoming Tariffs and International Tensions

Trump's plan to introduce reciprocal tariffs on April 2, followed by automotive tariffs effective April 3, has added to the market's unease. Further complicating matters, Trump's recent statements included threats of secondary tariffs on Russian oil purchasers, ranging from 25%-50%, citing frustrations with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the Ukraine conflict.
