Focus Areas of the Supplementary Budget

The budget will concentrate on three critical areas: disaster and calamity response, strengthening trade and AI competitiveness, and supporting the daily lives of citizens. "We are committed to swift implementation and seek bipartisan support for the budget's approval by the National Assembly in April," Choi emphasized during the emergency meeting.

Supporting Affected Communities and Enhancing Competitiveness

Significant portions of the budget are earmarked for aiding residents impacted by wildfires, improving disaster response systems, and addressing trade risks from U.S. tariff policies. Additionally, the plan includes securing high-performance GPUs to lead in AI technology and providing relief for small business owners facing domestic demand challenges.
