Investigation Into Pfizer's Vaccine Announcement Timing
The United States Attorney's office has launched an investigation into claims that Pfizer may have delayed the announcement of its COVID-19 vaccine's success until after the 2020 US presidential election. This development was first reported by the Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with the matter.

Allegations and Responses
According to the report, Phil Dormitzer, a former Pfizer employee who later joined rival company GSK, allegedly informed his colleagues at GSK about the delay. The US Attorney's office has reportedly interviewed at least two individuals regarding these claims, including a GSK executive.
Dormitzer, who has since departed from GSK, has denied the allegations. "My Pfizer colleagues and I did everything we could to get the FDA's Emergency Use Authorization at the very first possible moment," Dormitzer stated, dismissing any other interpretation of his comments as incorrect.
