In a significant move to bolster India's space technology sector, Sidbi Venture Capital Limited has been entrusted with managing a Rs 1,000 crore fund. This initiative, announced by IN-SPACe, India's space regulator and promoter, aims to support private companies in the space technology domain.

Strategic Financial Allocation

The fund is set to distribute its capital over a five-year period, starting with Rs 150 crore in 2025-26. The subsequent years will see an annual allocation of Rs 250 crore for three consecutive years, culminating with a final disbursement of Rs 100 crore in 2029-30.

Investment Criteria

Investments will vary between Rs 10 crore to Rs 60 crore, tailored to the company's development stage, growth trajectory, and potential to enhance national space capabilities. This strategic funding aims to catalyze innovation and growth within the sector.
