UBS CEO Sergio Ermotti's 2024 Compensation Soars to 14.9 Million Swiss Francs

In a year marked by significant strides towards integration following the acquisition of Credit Suisse, UBS Group AG has disclosed that CEO Sergio Ermotti's compensation for 2024 reached a staggering 14.9 million Swiss francs (approximately $16.8 million). This marks an increase from the 14.4 million Swiss francs he received in 2023, despite having worked only nine months that year.
The bank's Executive Board as a whole was awarded 143.6 million Swiss francs for 2024, up from 140.3 million Swiss francs the previous year. This reflects the bank's strengthened position, increased diversification, and strategic readiness to benefit both clients and shareholders in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
In a shareholder letter, UBS highlighted the transformative year of 2024, emphasizing the transition from stabilizing the precarious situation post-acquisition to making significant progress in integration. "UBS is now stronger, more diversified and better positioned strategically to benefit both our clients and our shareholders in a rapidly changing world," the letter stated, underscoring the bank's optimistic outlook for the future.
