Daimler Truck has reported a 4% decrease in its fourth-quarter revenue for 2024, totaling €14.3 billion. Despite the drop, the figures have surpassed analysts' forecasts, showcasing the company's resilience in a challenging market.

Earnings and Sales Overview

The adjusted EBIT saw a significant 29% decline year-over-year, amounting to €1.1 billion. Earnings per share also took a hit, decreasing by 36% to €0.95. On the sales front, the group experienced an 11% reduction, selling 124,386 units. However, there's a silver lining as incoming orders rose by 15%, reaching 124,046 units.

2025 Outlook and Regional Performance

Looking ahead, Daimler Truck anticipates an adjusted return on sales between 8% and 10%, contingent on macroeconomic and geopolitical factors. CEO Karin Radstrom highlighted the strong performance of Trucks North America and Daimler Buses, alongside the solid results from Trucks Asia, despite market challenges. Mercedes-Benz Trucks faced hurdles in Europe but thrived in Brazil.
