Market Dynamics and Analyst Insights

The previous day, domestic indices experienced a slight decline amidst heightened volatility, influenced by escalating US trade tensions. However, the markets are expected to respond favorably to recent data indicating reduced retail inflation and improved industrial production. Analysts predict a phase of range-bound trading, characterized by continued volatility and a shifting focus across sectors.

Ajit Mishra, SVP of Research at Religare Broking Ltd, commented, "Despite weak global cues, markets are displaying resilience, though pressure in key sectors is limiting the upside. Further consolidation is likely in the coming sessions, with heightened volatility expected due to the weekly expiry. Traders should maintain a stock-specific approach, focusing on large caps and prominent midcaps."
