During his visit to Singapore, To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, met with top executives from Singapore's leading enterprises to discuss investment opportunities in Vietnam, particularly in renewable energy and industrial parks.

Commitment to Economic Growth and Innovation

Lam emphasized Vietnam's ambitious goal of achieving an 8% growth rate this year, with a focus on attracting large-scale foreign direct investment projects to fuel innovation and economic progress. He assured Singaporean investors of Vietnam's supportive business environment.

Expanding Renewable Energy Investments

Lim Boon Heng, Chairman of Temasek Holdings, expressed a strong interest in renewable and green energy development in Vietnam. Similarly, Tow Heng Tan of Sembcorp Industries discussed potential investments in Vietnam's power sector, highlighting a focus on renewable energy and gas turbines.

Long-Term Investment and Collaboration

Louis Lim of Keppel Corporation and Lee Chong Min of CMIA Capital Partners shared their long-term investment plans and sought support for project approvals in Vietnam. Tran Thi Lam of Shangri-La Healthcare Investment also presented strategic plans to expand hi-tech medical zones in Vietnam.
