Market Reacts to Trump's Latest Tariff Comments
In a volatile premarket session on Monday, U.S. equities took a significant hit following President Donald Trump's renewed criticism of Canada's tariff policies. Trump's threats of additional measures against Canada and his dismissal of recession fears as merely a "period of transition" for the U.S. economy have stirred market unease.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average experienced a sharp decline, dropping 0.63% or 270 points by 4:30 am ET, after a more than 300-point plunge earlier. Similarly, the Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 saw significant drops, falling 0.95% and 0.82%, respectively. The euro also weakened against the dollar, decreasing by 0.27% to $1.08169 at 4:29 am ET.
