Other Fuels Follow Suit

Not to be left behind, Biofuel E5 RON92 and diesel have also experienced price drops of 3.34% and 3.27%, respectively. Biofuel E5 RON92 is now at VND19,960, while diesel stands at VND18,330.

Factors Influencing the Price Drop

Regulators have pointed to several global factors influencing the recent price adjustments. These include OPEC+'s decision to increase production in April, new U.S. tariffs on Mexico, Canada, and China, and the subsequent retaliation from these countries.

Overall, gasolines have seen a decrease of 4.4-4.8%, with oils dropping by 3.5-4.9%. Currently, RON95 is priced at $82.3 per barrel, and diesel at $86.7 per barrel.
