Lufthansa's Optimism for Boeing's Future
Carsten Spohr, CEO of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, expressed his hope on Thursday that the United States President Donald Trump's administration would assist Boeing in overcoming its current challenges, thereby speeding up the delivery of long-delayed aircraft.

In a conversation with CNBC, Spohr highlighted the airline's anticipation for overcoming these hurdles, possibly with the support of the new US administration. He believes this would enable Lufthansa to operate the most modern aircraft, benefiting both passengers and shareholders through reduced costs.
Delivery Delays and Supply Chain Issues
Spohr also mentioned that Lufthansa is awaiting the delivery of 41 wide-body planes currently held up in the US. He pointed out that the delivery of over 240 aircraft ordered for the coming years is expected to be delayed. These delays are attributed to supply chain issues within the aircraft's production and certification challenges between Boeing and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the US.
