BENGALURU: Craft Beer Maker Faces Backlash Over Employee Dues
Bira 91, a renowned craft beer maker, is currently under scrutiny as both current and former employees raise concerns over unpaid salaries, unreimbursed allowances, and unresolved dues. This unrest comes months after the company initiated a restructuring exercise, which was not officially termed as a layoff.

A former sales employee shared their ordeal, stating, "After resigning in December, I was instructed to serve a two-month notice period. However, in January, it was abruptly reduced by a month. Despite assurances, my dues remain unpaid, with the latest update suggesting a possible clearance by May 31."
Reports indicate that delays in salary payments began in November 2024, with reimbursements for travel and daily expenses also coming to a halt around the same time.
