Lufthansa's Optimism for US Intervention in Boeing's Delivery Challenges
Deutsche Lufthansa AG's CEO, Carsten Spohr, expressed hope that the United States President Donald Trump's administration would play a pivotal role in assisting Boeing to navigate through its current challenges. This assistance is crucial for the acceleration of the much-delayed aircraft deliveries to Lufthansa.

In a conversation with CNBC, Spohr highlighted the airline's anticipation for overcoming these hurdles, potentially with the backing of the new US administration. He emphasized the benefits of operating the most modern aircraft, not only for passenger comfort but also for the advantage of shareholders through reduced operational costs.
Impact of Delays on Lufthansa's Fleet Expansion
Spohr disclosed that Lufthansa is currently awaiting the delivery of 41 wide-body planes, which are reportedly stalled in the US. The CEO pointed out that the delivery of over 240 aircraft, ordered for the upcoming years, is facing delays. These delays are attributed to supply chain disruptions in aircraft production and certification issues between Boeing and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
