Lufthansa Achieves Historic Revenue Milestone
Deutsche Lufthansa AG has proudly announced a significant achievement in its financial performance for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024. The company reported a remarkable 7.8% year-on-year increase in revenue, reaching €9.4 billion. This growth contributed to the airline's highest-ever annual revenue of €37.6 billion, marking a 6% increase from the previous year.

Financial Highlights and Future Outlook
In the fourth quarter, Lufthansa's operating income rose by 7% to €10.4 billion compared to the same period in 2023. The earnings per share (EPS) experienced an extraordinary surge of 666.7%, reaching €0.46 per share. However, the full-year EPS saw a decline of 17.9%, settling at €1.15 per share.
CFO Till Streichert shared insights into the company's expectations for the upcoming year, stating, "We anticipate a moderate capacity growth of around 4 percent. This strategic move aims to bolster our revenue growth, secure valuable market shares, stabilize earnings, and enhance our operational efficiency. Despite these positive projections, we remain cautious of ongoing challenges, including delays in aircraft deliveries and persistent cost pressures."
