Adidas Reports Significant Growth in Q4 2024

In a remarkable turnaround, Adidas AG announced a 24% increase in net sales, reaching €5.96 billion in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024. This marks a significant improvement from the previous year's performance.

Financial Highlights and Future Projections

The company's operating profit for the quarter was €57 million, a stark contrast to the €377 million loss reported in the same period last year. Additionally, the net loss attributable to shareholders improved to €39 million from €379 million, with diluted loss per share seeing a 90% improvement. Looking ahead, Adidas forecasts an operating profit between €1.7 billion and €1.8 billion for the full year of 2025.

CEO's Perspective on Adidas' Performance

"I am very pleased with how the fourth quarter and the full year developed for us at Adidas. We achieved double-digit growth in 2024, with a 12% increase on a currency-neutral basis, and improved our operating profit by more than €1 billion to €1.337 billion. This performance exceeded our expectations, and we are, of course, very pleased with this outcome," stated CEO Bjorn Gulden.
