In a recent post-budget webinar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India's emerging role as a trusted global partner. He urged the Indian industry to boldly capitalize on the vast opportunities presented by this new era of global trust and cooperation.

PM Modi emphasized the resilience and capability of India's economy, stating, "Our country is capable of doing this, all of you (industry) are capable, this is a great opportunity for us." He called on the industry to not remain mere spectators but to actively seek out roles and opportunities in this global scenario.

Boost to Manufacturing and Exports

Highlighting the importance of stable policies and an improved business environment, PM Modi announced the launch of two missions aimed at boosting manufacturing and exports. He also mentioned the government's efforts to eliminate over 40,000 compliances at both the central and state levels, aiming to create a more conducive environment for business and investment.

"We are working on the Jan Vishwas 2.0 Bill," PM Modi added, revealing plans to constitute a committee to review non-financial sector regulations. The goal is to make these regulations modern, flexible, people-friendly, and trust-based.

Support for MSMEs

In his address, PM Modi also highlighted key initiatives in Budget FY26 designed to support MSMEs. These include doubling the guarantee cover for MSME loans to Rs 20 crore and introducing customized credit cards with a Rs 5 lakh limit for working capital needs, showcasing the government's commitment to bolstering the backbone of the Indian economy.
