Shenzhen's Ambitious Robotics Plan

In a groundbreaking move, the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Bureau has announced a comprehensive three-year action plan aimed at propelling the development of embodied intelligent robots. This initiative is set to revolutionize the robotics industry by enhancing core AI technologies and fostering a robust industry ecosystem.

Key Objectives and Expected Outcomes

The plan outlines ambitious goals, including significant advancements in AI chips, dexterous robotics, and multimodal perception technology. Furthermore, the government is committed to supporting over 10 companies to achieve valuations above ¥10 billion and to create more than 50 large-scale application scenarios, aiming for an industry value exceeding ¥100 billion ($13.9 billion).
