Economic Activity in Switzerland Takes a Hit
In a recent report released by the KOF Swiss Economic Institute, it was revealed that Switzerland's economic activity experienced a downturn in February. The KOF Economic Barometer recorded a decrease to 101.7 points from a revised 103 in January, yet it remains above its medium-term average.

Sector-Specific Pressures
The report highlighted that all production-side indicator bundles were under pressure, with significant impacts observed in the manufacturing and other services sectors, which weakened the most. Notably, the paper and printing industry, along with the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, were among the most affected. Conversely, the electrical and metal industries reported a more favorable outlook.
