Inflation Rate in Tokyo's Ku-Area Declines

The annual inflation rate in Tokyo's Ku-area experienced a decrease to 2.9% in February, down from 3.4% in January, as reported by the Statistics Bureau of Japan on Friday.

Consumer Price Index Insights

The Consumer Price Index (CPI), excluding fresh food and energy, was recorded at 1.9%. This figure was slightly below expectations and remained unchanged from the previous month. Meanwhile, the CPI excluding only fresh food was noted at 2.2%, a decrease from January's 2.5%.
