Notably, a tael measures 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces. This surge was highlighted when gold bars hit an all-time high of VND92.3 million per tael on Tuesday morning.

On the global stage, gold prices have seen a slight uptick, with spot gold increasing by 0.2% to $2,908.50 per ounce. This follows a record peak of $2,942.70 reached on Tuesday. Similarly, U.S. gold futures have seen a 0.3% rise to $2,936.50.

"Amidst the swirling uncertainties of global trade, gold remains a pivotal diversifier for investors looking to buffer against portfolio volatility," stated IG market strategist Yeap Jun Rong.
