This comes at a time when the fourth-quarter earnings season is in full swing, with companies like Airbnb and Coinbase set to unveil their performance reports after the market closes.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average experienced a notable increase, jumping 0.33% or 144 points at the open. The Nasdaq 100 wasn't far behind, increasing by 0.32%, while the S&P 500 gained 0.22%. Notably, Cisco Systems Inc. saw a significant rise, trading 6.17% higher. The Applovin Corporation also made headlines with a 36.70% increase, and MGM Resorts International added 13.97%, contributing to the S&P 500's upward movement.
At 9:29 am ET, the euro remained stable against the dollar, trading at 1.03850.
