Vodafone Idea CEO Advocates for Shorter Intervals Between Tariff Hikes
During a recent earnings call, Vodafone Idea's CEO, Akshaya Moondra, highlighted the need for more frequent tariff hikes in the Indian telecom sector. Moondra argued that the current return on capital metrics justify reducing the time gap between tariff increases to as little as nine months, compared to the previously considered ideal 12-month interval.

This comes after major telecom players, including Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea, raised their tariffs in July of the previous year. The move is seen as an effort to improve the financial health of the telecom industry, which has been under pressure due to intense competition and regulatory challenges.
