China's Manufacturing PMI Slightly Expands in January
According to the latest report from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP), China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has released the Purchasing Manager's Index (PMI) for manufacturing for January. The headline figure stands at 50.1, indicating a slight expansion in the manufacturing sector as it remains above the neutral 50 mark, which signifies a contraction in production.
However, this figure shows a decrease from December's 50.5, suggesting a slowdown in the growth momentum of the manufacturing sector. This data provides insights into the current state of China's economy, highlighting the challenges and resilience within its manufacturing industry.
