Key Highlights of Budget 2025

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced pivotal changes aimed at simplifying the tax system and boosting household consumption. Notably, income up to Rs 12 lakh will be tax-free, with additional benefits for salaried taxpayers, raising the exemption limit to Rs 12.75 lakh. However, these benefits come with specific conditions related to deductions under the Income Tax Act.

For Bihar, the budget proposes several initiatives, including the establishment of a Makhana Board and the expansion of Patna Airport, alongside the creation of the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Management to enhance food processing activities in the Eastern region.
