ExxonMobil Corporation disclosed its financial outcomes for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024, revealing a minor year-on-year decrease of 0.3% in GAAP earnings, totaling $7.61 billion. The earnings per common share also saw a decline, dropping by 10% to $1.72 compared to the same period in 2023. Total revenues and other income slightly decreased by 1%, amounting to $83.5 billion.

Full-Year 2024 Financial Performance

Looking at the full fiscal year, ExxonMobil experienced a 6.5% reduction in net income, which stood at $33.6 billion. Despite this, total revenues and other income saw a modest increase of 1.5%, reaching $349.5 billion. The earnings per common share for the year fell by 11% to $7.84.

Chairman and CEO Darren Woods expressed confidence in the company's strategic direction, stating, "Our transformed company delivered unmatched value in 2024... Operationally, we delivered strong results on safety, reliability, and emissions. Financially, we delivered some of our highest earnings and operating cash flow in a decade... We’re confident we’ll deliver on the plans we laid out to generate significantly more earnings and cash – not only to 2030, but well beyond." Following the announcement, ExxonMobil's stock saw a 0.35% increase in premarket trading.
